A Minecraft Movie is a live-action fantasy adventure comedy based on the hugely popular sandbox video game Minecraft. The story follows a group of unlikely heroes who are transported into the blocky world of Minecraft and must learn to survive, build, and work together to protect the Overworld from dangerous threats. The film blends humor, action, and imaginative world-building inspired by the creative gameplay of the original game. It was released in U.S. theaters in April 2025.
